Help with contest system mod

Well i have gone to the actual contest forum section and there has not been any activity there since 2008. So I figure I would put this in the general section and see if i get some help. I installed the most recent version of the mod everything installed I have the mod in the admin area with the settings and everything changed the settings for the contest and when I go to the store ( tas.myftp.biz/zen/zencart ) the sidebox shows but it still says that the contest has ended even though I changed the start and end date. Now I have not added any products to the store as of yet. Would this keepo the contest from starting

I just installed this on my test site and it works for me. Since the contest prize apparently needs to be a store product, I guess you'll have to create a product and enter its product id to test the mod.
