rebuilding Contact page from within an EZ page, is it possible?

is there any reason, technical reason that i can't rebuild the contact page from inside of an EZ page?,

the default one is just so far off from the design the client wants that i'd rather just start from scratch,

im looking at the source code from the default one so as to include all necessary extra ext. files,

ya, there is. Zen Cart doesn't process forms or PHP in EZ-Pages.

If you don't want to use the existing contact_us files to build your modified form, you can create a new define page (get the About Us mod from Plugins and change its filenames to your taste).

But I don't see how it's easier to create a whole new file structure than to gut and rebuild the existing contact files...

In case anyone else is looking to add EZ-page content to their Contact Us page, there's a very simple way.

1. Just comment out some code in /admin/ezpages.php somewhere around line 129:

//edit: allow Contact Us link AND EZ-page content at the same time
//$messageStack->add(ERROR_MULTIPLE_HTML_URL, 'error');
//$page_error = true;

2. Now go to your EZ Page and add this to the Internal Link box: index.php?main_page=contact_us

3. Now edit this file: /includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_contact_us_default.php
   Add the following code around Line 17, or wherever you want your EZ-page content to show. Make sure the pages_id matches your EZ-page number!
