Postage costs for additional items.

Just wondering if this is a postage mod for each additional item that a customer buys from my website. Because if a customer buys 2 small items and they have to pay postage on each item then they are not going to be happy, when they know that I could have got them both in one package. Thank you.

What shipping modules are you using ? If you're using USPS, for example, the products' weights will be added together to determine postage.

Unless you, yourself, get into the truck to deliver the goods, it's more likely you are using a delivery company to do it for you.

This company should have a schedule of RATES.

If you use several companies, then you need to get EVERY rate card.

When you have ALL this data, you can then start to work out how to configure your shipping in the webshop.

You may discover that you need SEVERAL modules - each configured differently - to cater for the different shipping rates.

Go look at the SHIPPING ESIMATOR on the shopping cart of THIS SITE...

(Put an item into the shopping cart and then choose several different locations (countries as well as zones).)

You will see different rates apply, depending on the selected delivery address.

Now... for THAT site, there are FIVE active shipping modules and SIXTEEN zones. Seeds are shipped for FREE in the UK, but not for EU countries. we are busy configuring a module to handle this parameter too.

I'm using big royalmail, but need to configure it yet.
