Importing Customers into ZC from Another Database

I have Zen Cart set up and ready to go now. I am hoping to import our customers from our main database (about 1400 customers) into Zen Cart. I have full access to both db's. I have so far imported the customer information into the customers, customers_info and address book tables using Mysql Workbench. The customers show up with what appears to be all the correct information in the Admin--> Customers page. When I click on the customer --> edit button in the page, it only shows blank fields. What am I missing or is there an easier way to import. This is being imported from ExpressionEngine so there has been quite a bit of editing to get the information in the correct format (for example, EE puts the full name - first, middle, last all in the same column).
I have read several posts about migrating customers, but just seem to be missing something.
Thanks

You could try my Add Customers from Admin plugin (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1477). It will take input from a CSV file for a "bulk" upload.

Oh, that would be perfect - I didn't realize it would take bulk upload!

Thanks!
