Need help - I want to add Social Media Link

Can anyone tell me very simply (As I am struggling with basic website stuff) how I can add one of those Facebook, Twitter. Pinterest etc buttons to my website so that people can click on them? Where do I put the code to make it appear on my website. Is there a place to put it so it ends up on all my website pages? Any help or advice would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't really help as when I download the add-ons now I have a bunch of files and folders with no idea where to put them. Guess there is no simple way to do this.

There should be a "read me" file included with the download to tell you how to install it.

Yeah, but I get stuck with instructions like this:

To install change the folder YOUR_TEMPLATE to the appropriate name. What is the appropriate name?

Then just upload the files to your store. Upload them where? Into what folder?

Replace YOUR_TEMPLATE with the name of your custom template.
