Over rides global? or limited directories?

Hello,

Will over rides work in the /includes/modules/pages/ and /includes/classes/ paths? The reason I am asking is I see that an add-on has created over rides for everything else, but wants to change some core files in these places.

No. You will need to edit those files directly.
