Category Tile Page / Manufacturer Tile Page

Does anyone know of any mods or how to create two unique pages which one can display in gride view all the top level categories and their images and another displaying in the same style all the manufacturers?

Not in the way you are asking but through "linking" you can have something similar to this HERE

Not sure what your suggesting, that just looks like a category with sub categories...

You create cats for each mfg and create or move products into them
Then via linking they can also appear in other cats

If you don't want all of your top categories displayed on your homepage but on an interior page, you can add a link with the address
yourdomain.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=0
and this will point to a category listing page with all of the top cats in a grid.

why does it have the title 'Home' though?
