Template #241 not displaying left catagories menu?

Hi I am trying out zen cart and I uploaded a template called Template #241 and for some reason there is no left categories menu being displayed.

I have installed the latest version of zencart v1.5.1 and the default theme works I am not using any addons or changes it is just a fresh full install.

It appears that the template 241 is built for zencart version 1.3.8.

It is possible that it is not compatible with zencart 1.5

The only way to check this is to COMPARE all the files in that template, with their counterpart CORE files in zc 1.5, and to edit in any changes.

WINMERGE is a good tool for comparing files. It is freeware available on the WWW.

This is definitely possible... when you ACTIVATE a new (different) template, you ALSO need to RE-SET the layout boxes.

After activating a new template, go to TOOLS >>> LAYOUT BOXES CONTROLLER and after the screen displays, scroll down and click the RESET button.
