Can I access total order weight?

When I process orders I need to know what the orders total weight is.
Is this kept in the database as a specific entry?

If so, how do I access it?

I need to export this to a shipping program so that USPS postage will be calculated correctly

Hmm, it looks like the order's total weight is not kept in the database (interestingly, attribute weights are) so unless you have your USPS shipping method set to "Display weight" there's no record of the order's total weight once the order has been placed.

We do display the weight. It is visible at the shopping cart page. We need to access this weight when we are performing order fulfillment. However, tt does not appear that this weight is kept in the database.

If you've got USPS to display the weight, the value (albeit in text) is stored in the **title **field of the orders_total table, where the orders_id is the order's ID and the **class **field is set to 'ot_shipping'. You'd have to parse the value out, but it's at least there.
