Wierd Multiple Image issue

Wierd Multiple Image issue

This is really strange. I taught my niece (owner of site) how to add attributes. She calls me later to thank me for adding the "related products" function that she wanted ( I hadn't). She added a product (a comforter) and when displayed has a bunch of pillows below it. None of the other products she's added have done this. I deleted the product and it's attributes. Added it again with only the basic stuff and they show up again.

When I look at the source code (like as if I really knew what I was doing) I found this

How does this happen to one particular product?

Jim,

This is actually what is "supposed" to happen...albeit unintentionally in this case. The "problem" is that her original image is named "austin". All of the pillow images below it start their name with "austin", so Zen Cart thinks these are additional images to this product. If she renames the image for the main product, those additional images will disappear. Have her rename the main image file for that product to something that doesn't start with "austin". Be sure to update the product with the new image name.

PS If she really is running version 1.3.8, it should be upgraded ASAP. There are tons of security problems in that very old version.

In that case you need to find some one who is willing to upgrade that module for you, or find some one who has already done so.
