Problem sending emails and setting up the mail server

These are my details:

**I am using SMTPAUTH but when i set the mail server as mail.modderzwarehouse.com It says sent but no email is sent.

If need be I'd be willing to give access to my zen cart admin if somebody thinks they could help me.

Usually, this would be mail.modderzwarehouse.com

BUT your MX settings look strange being

what should they look like? I can change them if i knew what to change them too

Your SMTP settings should be whatever you would put into Outlook for "Outgoing SMTP mailserver".
(I use "outlook" merely as an example because most people can comprehend that illustration. If you don't know what that means, ask your hosting company for the correct mailserver address to use for outgoing SMTP.)

my server host told me i need to turn off ssl support to get it to work through plesk parallels but can't figure out how to do it. He has no idea needless to say i'll think twice before using unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk again for zen cart. never had this problem with one.com

i don't have outlook so tried thunderbird that seems unable to access mail server either.

Sounds very much like your hosting company needs to give you the correct SMTP settings.

But if they were telling you that your email must be transmitted over SSL, then change the SMTP Port from 25 to 465.

If you cannot connect and send with thunderbird, the provided settings for SMTP are wrong.

On another topic:
Your records for SPF protection did not authorize sending from either of the domain MX records for email servers or the IP for the SMTP server you mentioned. This can cause some issues with spam filters or emails being rejected by the receiving server.

It's now useable (to the best of my server hosts ability lol) thanks to everyone for your help. But a massive massive THANKS TO lhungil for going into the server and fixing what the server host could not.

This man deserves much recognition. Not to mention the amount of patience he has with me and my utter thickness lol. I will repay you somehow some day.
