Increasing sidebox size overlaps main page

I'm running 1.5.1, this is a brand new site that I'm building on my local machine. How can I increase the sidebox size and reduce the size of the left mainnav to match? Screenshot:

Use your admin's Configuration->Layout Settings to modify
Column Width - Left Boxes (#navColumnOneWrapper)
Column Width - Right Boxes (#navColumnTwoWrapper)
Column Width - Left (#navColumnOne)
Column Width - Right (#navColumnTwo)

The identifiers I noted in parentheses are the CSS selectors for the associated items. The value specified for the non-Boxes settings should be greater than or equal to the associated Boxes setting plus any border and/or margin that you have specified for the ...Wrapper value in your stylesheet. If you're not already, the FireBug add-on to the FireFox browser will really help you to correlate these values.
