looking for a way to do a photo gallery

Hi,

Been looking in the plugins, searching google, but I have had no luck. My customer wants to be able to have a page that is an index to a simple photo gallery. She would like to be able to upload a pic to the gallery and enter a short description from the admin panel.

Based on the number of times I have seen this topic around on the web, has anyone come out with a simple module for this? Needs to work with v1.5.1 and I am only a novice PHP programmer.

Thanks for replying. I see that this module works with v1.3.7 but I need something that will work with 1.5.1.

No such luck. The folder structure is completely different and I am only a novice when it comes to PHP programming. Anyone else have any ideas?

Many mods that add new admin elements need to have their admin files reworked for v1.5.x. Instead of the old /boxes/ subfolder (or something like that) new pages need to be "registered" in admin. There are tutorials and forum threads about this process.

thanks, i manage to add the tools to my admin, but when i tried to access it, it gave me this error:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.*

any ideas? this is what i added to /YOUR_ADMIN/includes/functions/extra_functions/init_new_tool.php:

okay, manage to fix the error, it is working now, but i still couldnt add a gallery, when i add a new designer, it just brings me back to the main admin page and did not add any new designer..

okay i narrowed the problem down to the php code not updating the table in the database, if i manually insert values inside the database, the gallery worked flawlessly, the problem is just when i use the admin gallery tools to add a new designer and a new artwork, the database is just not updated.. is this a problem with the code perhaps?
