unable to add categories for other languages

hey guys, for some reason i suddenly is unable to add categories for products in different languages.. i used to be able to add them from the admin, but lately i havent been able to do so.. when i save the change and went back to check on it, the category name and description will be blank and updating it wont change the website.. any idea what happen and which file should i take a look at?

What version of Zen Cart are you using? latest version 1.5.x
Has your site been upgraded? When? From what version(s)? this is my first time using zen-cart
What plugins/addons have you installed? When? If your problems are payment-related, what payment module(s) are you using? If it's shipping-related, which shipping module(s) are you using? i have installed, glasgow_neat template and added a simplified chinese language module
HOW did you install Zen Cart? (upload via FTP and run zc_install, or a one-click install from your hosting company? (one-click installs might mean you don't have enough information about your site/server to make customizations easily)) upload via FTP and run zc_install
What version of PHP and MySQL is your server using? (See Admin->Tools->Server Info) 5.5.27
WHEN did the problem "start"? How does that compare with other events of your hosting company, changes you've made to your site files/addons, or your admin settings, etc? im not sure, it used to work then it suddenly didnt
If this is your first store, have you tested all aspects of transactions before going live? yes and no
In what ways is your site customized or different from a brand new uncustomized install? ive added a template and an additional language
Please post your site URL so we can take a look at it. This is especially important if you're encountering display/layout problems, so the problem can be seen directly.* my site is still being tested on a localhost
Have you searched the FORUM for your error message or for answers to the question you're asking? yes, and i've actually found someone who maybe has the same problem:

is there a solution to this problem?

Presumably Chinese would need the right (UTF-8?) settings in both configuration and database. Are you sure you have that correct everywhere needed?

it should be correct, but it doesnt matter since even if i add in an english name, it just wouldnt update, i even add directly from the admin and it still couldnt work where it would've worked before.. here's where i add it from the admin, i add "Main Gate" to the chinese text but it doesnt work

okay i noticed that i cant add a new category from the admin anymore.. and i have this warning:

WARNING: You have Products in the Top Level Category. This will cause pricing to not work properly in the Catalog. Products found: 1

what does it mean? how do i fix it?

i've deleted every product from my zen cart, and even go into my database and delete from there, but the warning is still there, what the hell....

Look in phpMyAdmin ...

Look at the table:
products
products_description

are there products in there?

Look at the table:
products_to_categories

are there any references to:
products_id
categories_id

If you say you deleted all products ... you should not see anything in:
products
products_description
products_to_categories

Do you find anything in those tables?

thanks, i found one at products_to_categories, deleted it and it's fixed
