Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

Hi Gang!

So I have a product where I would like to have a +$20.00 added to the price if any of the 3 attributes are selected (other than the default ones that leave the price untouched).

Any ideas how to set this up?

Thanks!

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

Thanks for the reply Kobra -

If only one attribute is added (apart from the default one) the $20.00 value should be added.
Also if all three attributes are added (apart from default ones) price increase still should be $20.00 (as opposed to say 3x20=60).

I know it's tricky - hope it makes sense.

Thanks!

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

To explain things more easier...

  1. If they leave the 3 default attributes untouched, price remains the same.
  2. If they only change on attribute, the $20.00 value is added
  3. If they change all 3 attrubutes, still $20.00 is added

hope it makes sense now.

thanks!

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

I would add the three options as a single attribute with I think 6 options

1 only
1&2
1&3
2 only
2&3
3 Only

Thanks Kobra. I don't think I'm following you. I don't know how to group three options as a single attribute.

Thanks!

There is option name & option values

Just add 3 values to the option name

Thanks, Kobra. I do understand how to add option values to the option names, no problem there. What I do not get is what dollar value should I set in each option value so it functions as I mentioned it above.

Take for instance this page where I have 4 options (Tolex, Handle Type, Welt and Corners). Each option has several values (Tolex having the most).

Curious to know how you would apply the solution in this case.

I appreciate your help a lot!
thanks,

Looked at the product and do not understand what it is you want to change as it appears that it is functioning as desired

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

Thanks for looking.

The way it works now is that it adds the attributes dollar values to the price instead of keeping it a fixed $20.00 for any type of selection other than default on certain products adding up beyond $20.00

I think the easiest way to explain what I need is:

If they change even one option (OR all options ) from the default, price should still be 20.00).

hope that makes sense
thanks,
G

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

What you are describing is dependent attributes
Where selection of one affects others - in your case selection of any increases price by $20.00 but selection of 2 or 3 does not then increase price

There is no support for dependent attributes in ZenCart

Re: Fixed Price increase with Any Attribute Selected?

A quick one.

How does the "One Time" price value affect an attribute? Wouldn't this be useful in this case?

thank you,

That is per attribute - So no it will not work as you expect
