Prevent new products from appearing as new? Possible?

I have recently found some old stock I didn't realize I had. I will need to create new product listings for these, but I would rather they didn't show up as the newest arrivals when customers click on "New Products...." in the category box. Is there a way to do this? Maybe get them to show up at the end of the "New Products..." listings? All of these items will reside in their own top category if that helps.

You could edit the table:
products

via phpMyAdmin and change the field:
products_date_added

to be older than what your definition for New Products is ...

That is where you should make the change ...

What do you have set in your Admin in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

New Product Listing - Limited to ...
Limit the New Product Listing to
0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

It is currently set to 0, I don't know what it should be set to?

Set to 0 means ALL Products are New ...

If you want your New Products to be those added over the last 30 days, then change the setting to 30 ...

Now set those Products that you do now want to show as New Products to older than 30 days ...
