I'd like to move and resize this box, but have no idea under what name to look them in the files.
Propably would be in some css files, but havent found the solution yet.

Thanks in advance

Re: Would like to move and resize a box (dont know its name)

is that a template monster template you are using? Then it is probably something you need to ask them since they mess up the coding to make things do what they wish them to do.

or get a new template from the site here that is written like the store software so even adding modules will not give you troubles

I wrote to support, sent them this screen :

and got the following answer :

**If you feel confident with CSS styling, then here's a tip for you on how to achieve the desired result. Add the following selectors into file /theme549/css/stylesheet_tm.css and fill them with the required attributes

// control the size of left column
#column-left{}

// control the size of category box with image
.categoryListBoxContents {}

// control the size of display box for category listing page
#indexBody #column-center .tie {}

Do you have any idea how to use these to achieve the goals as in screenshot?
thanks

Re: Would like to move and resize a box (dont know its name)

I had a client that had one of their templates too and she switch to a free one from here due to the fact that even with them on the phone...the instructions they gave would not work and they just wanted money to come do their thing.

I try to avoid working on their templates totally. try adding what I put in red but no guarantee that it will not break something else in their coding.

The sideboxes are control in size with the admin section, hope this helps but I reallly doubt it. I would think about changing templates away from the monster....now you know why they chose that name...lol

So i tried to do this, pasted here /theme549/css/stylesheet_tm.css , in the content part, as last entries :

/* ============================= content ===================== */

.name{ font-size:17px; text-decoration:none; line-height:20px; font-weight:bold;}
.name:hover{ color:#66a4c5;}
#indexDefault #featuredProducts .centerBoxHeading{
display:none;
}
#contentMainWrapper{
margin:36px 0 0 0;
}
#column-left{
padding: 0 20px;
}
#column-center{
}
.vLine{
background:url(../images/vline.gif) repeat-y left top;
}
.hLine{
background:url(../images/hline.gif) repeat-x left top;
}
.product-col{
width:302px!important;
overflow:hidden;
padding:26px 0px 31px 7px;
}
.vLine .product-col{
width:274px!important;
}
.product-col .img{
float:left;
background:#fff;
border:1px solid #edecec;
text-align:center;
padding:2px;
border-radius:8px;
-moz-border-radius:8px;
-webkit-border-radius:8px;
position:relative;
margin-right:33px;
}
.product-col .img:hover{
border:1px solid #5d99b8;
}
.product-col .prod-info{
float:left;
width:125px;
overflow:hidden;
padding:3px 0 0 0;
}
*+html .product-col .prod-info{
padding:0 0 0 0;
}
.vLine .product-col .img{
margin-right:32px;
}
.vLine .product-col .prod-info{
width:98px;
}
.product-col .name{
color:#6b6b6b;
font-size:20px;
line-height:23px;
font-weight:normal;
text-decoration:none;
letter-spacing:-1px;
}
.product-col .name:hover{
color:#5d99b8;
}

.product-col .price{
padding:19px 0 20px 0;
}
*+html .product-col .price{
padding:12px 0 19px 0;
}
.product-col .button{
padding:0 0 0 1px;
}
.price{
color:#0e0e0e;
font-size:25px;
line-height:1.2em;
font-weight:normal;
}
#newProductsDefaultHeading{
color:#070707;
font-size:22px;
line-height:30px;
padding: 5px 0 0 0px;
letter-spacing:-1px;
margin-bottom:15px;
}

.hid{
height:5px;
width:635px;
background:#fff;
margin-bottom:-5px;
position:absolute;
}

// control the size of category box with image
.categoryListBoxContents
{
text-align: center;
vertical-align: top;
margin: 1em 0em;
float: left;
}

// control the size of display box for category listing page
#indexBody #column-center .tie
{
float: left;
vertical-align: top;
margin: 1em 0em;
text-align: center;

}

but nothing happened. Please advise.

Regarding your opinion about the template monster thing, i wish i had known this earlier. Now (till now) i think i should at least try launching the site and get some costumers and than spend more money and time on it later...
but who knows what will happen.

thanks in advance

Re: Would like to move and resize a box (dont know its name)

Nandor

That is why I don't like template monster templates. what they tell you to fix for your liking does not always work as in this case

As for not wanting to spend money...HOW does getting a free template add to your cost?

If it were me I would get the new template from here---many to choose from and nicer looking too. Then get the site up and live rather than try to mend things now and possibly cause the customers trouble which would mean they would not come back later.

Maybe they will tell you exactly what they want you to enter...for another fee
