Need to remove certain category for sidebox

Hello fellow Zen Cart users, I'm trying to figure out how to remove my article's page from my category side box. I have tried using the hide category add on and that messed my site up. My site is https://www.qualityautowi.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can turn the category off from the admin

I understand that I can disable that category page, but all I want to do is place the article's page in the Information side box and keep that page active. I hope that makes sense. Thanks

Is the articles page a define page or a category page?

Category pages can not be moved to the information box

Get the "about us" plugin and read the instructions about creating a new page
There are about 8 files/edits required to create a new define page

I know how to create a new page, but I'm trying to use the features in the admin to create article's for my site. Can you help with removing that article page from the side box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either delete the category or turn it off

How do you delete the category or hide the category without losing the that page. I have read somewhere on this forum that you can delete certain pages from that side box by adding some code on the tpl.categories.php page, but I can't find it right now. Any help on how to accomplish this would really be helpful. Thank you

In the admin > categories/products > next to the category "articles" at the right you should see a green box > click it once and it should turn red

But you did not have any products in that category???

There is a mod called hideCategories in the plugins section of this website that allows you to hide a category from the categories sidebox.

Adding that categories link to an ez-pages Internal Link URL will then allow you to add that link to another sidebox.

Adding an ez-pages link to the information sidebox requires additional code but it is available on the forums if you look for it.

I can't find any "articles" category or "article" items now, but as you are using the standard product-general for your vehicle listings, you can use document-general "product" items for your articles and set their category to show only in the Documents sidebox (if you want the Articles heading showing at all). No tricky maneuvering, and you have a separate built-in way to display them.
