Redirecting from old store to /shop/

Ready to flip the switch on our new ZC Store!
Our existing(old) store is presta shop (I think, I didn't build it or look too much at it).

What do I need to add to my .htaccess file to redirect shoppers from our old URL
ie: http://www.domain.com/search?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=16504&submit_search=Search
to our new shop located in http://www.domain.com/shop/

Thanks!

Re: Redirecting from old store to /shop/

If the DOMAIN NAME is the same, then do nothing... Generate a new XML sitemap (using sitemapXML module) and put it through your Google Webmaster Tools system.

If the DOMAIN NAMES ARE DIFFERENT, you will need a redirect (but only for a couple of weeks).

Have you checked on Google to see how many of your old site's pages are indexed?

Have you got all the old prestashop URLS to your products?

Have you got all the URLS to the same products in the new ZC store?

Re: Redirecting from old store to /shop/

I don't have the old prestashop URL's.
I guess I just wanted to redirect any url from the root to the index page of the new shop. So, anyone that clicks one of our old links in google will be taken to our new shop.
