Removing 'Out Of Stock' message

Hi,

I need to disable stock counts on my site and have read MANY posts about how to do this. However my products are still flagged as Out of Stock on the Product pages :frusty:

I've done the following in Admin:

Configuration > Stock > Check Stock Level: False
Configuration > Stock > Subtract Stock: False

Catalog > Product Types > Product General > Edit Layout > Show Quantity in Stock: False (0)

What on earth am I doing wrong? I feel so stoopid asking this AGAIN, when there are so many forum posts already!

admin > config > stock > Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart > set to "0"

@ralberts, if you currently have products which are out of stock and you used to have the setting Configuration > Stock > Subtract Stock: True, AND You had Configuration->Stock->Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to: 0, the products may be marked Out of Stock (as well as having Products Quantity set to 0).

You can check in admin->catalog->categories/products->(edit the product you want) and see if the Products Status is In Stock or Out of Stock.
