What would be the best way to include WordPress?

I have a basic site which uses WordPress. What should I consider if I want Zen Cart to integrate into the overall style, and anything else I should consider?

Thanks in advance

You should make ZenCart your main site styling it to match what you currently have if so desired and run wordpress from a folder/directory

You can use this blog to integrate WP in to Zen Cart.

Current BUSINESS thinking is NOT to integrate a BLOG into a SHOPPING site.

Integrated blogs are unnecessary distractions and provide opportunities for your shoppers to abandon their shopping and to start "socialising".

By all means have blogs and other microsites - they should form part of your Wider Web Presence, where "All Roads Lead To Rome".

The ONLY WAY you want people to leave your webshop is through checkout.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Do you mind if I use your info graphic? it explains exactly what is needed?

By all means use it.

The graphic shows that ALL other sites (blogs, microsites, social networks) inter-relate - so interlinking THEM is OK... but they must act as HARVESTING sites that all point somehow to the webshop. There are NO EXTERNAL LINKS on the webshop. Once people arrive at the webshop the objective is to FUNNEL THEM TO CHECKOUT. That is the only way you want them to leave the webshop.

Too many webshop owners provide links going OUT of the webshop to their other sites - this gives shoppers opportunities to leave the webshop without making a purchase.

Also, by making the OTHER SITES independent, you can leverage their functions to take advantage of SEO principles specific to their purpose - meaning you can get good SERPS via your entire web presence.

I do presentations and seminars on this and people who use these principles make good money out of their web presence.

The ONLY WAY you want people to leave your webshop is through checkout.I totally agree.. Blog imbedding is NOT necessary and it is a distraction.. (I believe the EXACT words I've used for clients who asked for this is "it's stupid and not needed")

I like standalone blogs with links throughout the blog back to the store/products since the purpose of the blog should be to guide folks into making a PURCHASE.. I might include blog sideboxes on the Zen Cart side, but that is as far as I go with "embedding". For me, I am big on working towards the store and blogs appearance close/identical so that the transition from one to the other is "seemless" for the end user. This effort requires taking the time to create a WordPress template and Zen Cart template which provide that "seemless" appearance.. The construction of the templates between WordPress and Zen Cart are different, but with a little effort this "seemless" look can be achieved..

Yes... this is relatively easy to do... And is essential for maintaining BRAND IDENTITY (a critically important marketing concept).
