What causes extra characters at end of URL?

Can't show the store or actual url just yet, but here is the end:
?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_89_112&products_id=388#.UVYiWlcQY5M
Should be main_page=product_info&cPath=9_89_112&products_id=388
Where does the #.UVYiWlcQY5M come from?

Thanks, I forgot to even look into this, so its not hurting anything other than making the ugly url uglier which doesn't affect seo. Whew!
