dlt101:
Look, I understand those of you who despise MS and think we should just stop using their software.
Apologies, but I think you misunderstood the point, which was knowing that IE is notorious for compatibility issues, and that there are better alternatives, then why waste any time with it it all?
Furthermore, you've only stated it was an IE issue, but you neglected to mention which version (OK, you have now, IE10), but the chances are, your client probably didn't tell you which version they are using? (or did they). You could spend the next hour finding a 'fix' for IE10 only to find your client still has an issue with their IE7, so you'll spend another hour fixing that, and on and on it goes.
Don't get me wrong, Firefox, etc, etc aren't perfect either, but they have far less compatibility issues than the IE series of products.
I'd certainly spend the time ensuring the front end of the store is 'IE compatible', but I'd not waste any time worrying about the back end. That's just my personal view though, and it doesn't really have anything to do with Microsoft per se. I'm more concerned about you keeping your sanity :)
Cheers
Rod
