Hiding certain product from menu

I have a product that I do not want to show in the store menu. A hidden product page. I want the product to be live and the page show when I send them to the page, but I do not want it to show in my product menu.

Is there a setting for this?

Try hideCategories from the plugins link above.

May need some custom coding to work with newer versions.

I haven't done this, but I understand you can put the product in its own category, disable the category, then reset the product to available. This keeps it from showing in menus, but you can link directly to it.

Just tried it on my test site, and it works nicely. Navigate to the product before disabling the category and save the URL; then disable the cat, re-enable the product, and the direct URL leads right to it. Haven't tested searches, new or all products or other things yet...

As a brand new product, it is showing in the New Products sidebox, so probably in some other places as well.

Very nice! Thank you both for your help.
