Need help finding text

I have an upgrade that I am working on
v1.51.1 from 1.3.8a

On the product pages that have additional images there appears the word "Information"

I see it in the view source

I could not locate a file using the developers toolkit or GREP'ing a full set downloaded files for it
I also grabbed a db backup and searched for it there - while Information with a cap only showed up a couple of times it was part of some other text not the product page

Any ideas would be helpful as I am out of them

To me it certainly looks like content in a PHP file, and as it's coming in directly under:

Information

... why not try a search (in Dev Toolkit) for productAdditionalImages ? Then open the file(s) where it is featured.

This may reveal its source.

No... I searched for: productAdditionalImages

As this is right next to the word "information", I am guessing that whatever is bringing in the word "information" must be (might be) close to productAdditionalImages in the code.

Also look at other surrounding elements. search for these too. It has to be somewhere near common (core) strings...

So unless the tools are skipping over this - it is not in any of the files that I can find

Which is why I am asking here...

Does dev toolkit also search non-php files?

You thoroughly searched the file system and the DB using all the usual tools.....

'Information' appears to be the heading for the additional images, just like 'Optional Side Panels' and 'Shipping' are headings for the attribs

Could the culprit be hidden in some jscript for the images and neither GREP'ing nor the dev-tool will bring it up?

Great thought but to no avail....
It is related to a custom template file/addon as when switched to the classic template - NO display of "Information"

I just can not determine why or how

I see magictoolbox code in the additional images... could a js file be adding the Information? Apparently not as you say, but... you are sure that is not connected with it?

That still remains my theory, simply because all the searches are not showing anything. The dev tool does not search for js files.

So, how about disabling / deleting the magiczoomplus.js (after backing it up...) and then... keep fingers crossed? Mystery indeed!

Or just do a search of the js file(s) in a text editor...

Thank You - but I have opened all template files in notepad++ and grepped them locally to no joy

What I am now thinking is that it must be in one of the compiled files....as these - being compiled - are not readable

If your client purchased MagicZoom from MagicToolbox, then they would be willing to send you a "fresh" JS file.

I have a licensed copy of magiczoomplus.js but I would be breaching T&C's by posting it here.

Kobra, just revisited this thread and your link. Noted that "Information" has disappeared, obviously you fixed it.

What was causing it??

I do not know where "$title" was defined as "Information" probably in one of their compiled files??
