Some questions

edgemeister:

OK guys.

Let me install COWOA and see what happens.

Thanks,

Ed

I prefer Numinix's FEC module - which has a COWOA element. I have found it to be more stable than the standalone COWOA.

Most of FEC's COWOA code is identical to the code in COWOA.. I have had no issues with the current version of COWOA.. In fact I replaced FEAC (the commercial version of FEC) with COWOA for a few clients because of issues we had with FEAC malfunctioning/acting funky.. All clients have had NO ISSUES since replacing FEAC with COWOA..

Plus v1.6 will be including as part of the base cod a guest checkout feature based on the COWOA mod.. (the last time I checked the Github respository, they were basing it off of the 2.3x version of COWOA..)

You might want to read the support thread for this module before venturing down that road.. the author no longer actively supports/updates his free modules here, and there are quite a few compatibility issues with FEC and other modules..

COWOA, is going to be part of the Zen Cart core as of v1.6 of Zen Cart, so you may want to give that some thought as well before making a final decision as to which module to use.. COWOA is stable, works, and doesn't have issues with other modules..

'Tis all.. Carry on..

Re: Some questions

Guys,

I am not qualified to compare the relative merits of the two modules expertly!

Since the COWOA module will be part of the upcoming 1.6 ZC core, I will stick to that one.

Thanks for all the input.
