Adding my banner ads to my emails sent out with order updates

I want to use my email's being sent out to update cusotmer of order status as a marketing tool that has my banner ads and possibly the UPS and FedEx logo as hot links cusotmer can click on to bring up the shippers tracking pages. Could someone be so kind to tell me if someone has already created a entry as I searched and could not find or can they give a sample of what text to add to the email to add links and display the different banner boxes?

I will download it and look at it, perhaps I can look at the code of the email being sent and copy some of their code. In the email template I see they are HTML files, I was hoping I could just cut and paste the code to display my banner boxes. Any one have any input they can share.
