Question regarding attributes and alternatives...

Hi,

So the company I work for sells cushion covers and the cushion inserts to go inside of them.

I'm trying to find a way to have a checkbox with "inserts" and if the customer ticks it then adds some of the cushion covers to the cart it'll automatically add the inserts for them.

I've been reading over attribute guides and forum posts and I sort of understand how they work. I managed to get the check box with Inserts however it's just a flat fee once if the box is ticked and doesn't take the quantity that was ordered into account.

Example:
Cushion cover - $10.00 each
Insert - $5.00 each

If the customer orders 4 cushion covers and ticks inserts the total should be $60. However it's coming out as $45 because it's only adding the inserts attribute once.

Ideally I'd like it to work so that if people tick inserts and order some cushions then it actually adds the insert item in the system to the order with the same quantity... But I don't know how doable that is...

Can anyone explain how I'd go about making this work? Or if there's an alternative you know of like an addon or something rather than the attribute option then that'd work. I'd really like some easier / better way of doing this as it's going to be a real pain in the ###### to individually add the correct insert attribute to each of the cushions we sell.

Hopefully I have explained myself well enough for someone to make some sense out of it. If not I'll try and explain it better, also thanks in advance for any and all help! :)

regards,
Dave Brady
