Problem with search results on products

I run a website (https://www.mattressandfutonshoppe.com) via Zen Cart. I am having a problem with the way search results come up for my products. I want to have the plural and non plural versions of words produce results for my products. (I.E. Bunk Bed Vs. Bunk Beds)

Is this even possible, or will I need to edit the product information to make the search produce what I want?

The below search terms should produce the same results.

Search Term = Bunk Bed
Result = http://www.mattressandfutonshoppe.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=021e9e0897501683e371eadb4dd30933&keyword=bunk+bed&x=0&y=0
Number of results= 25

Search Term = Bunk Beds
Result = http://www.mattressandfutonshoppe.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=bunk+beds&x=0&y=0
Number of Results = 4

searching for bunk beds looks for the words "bunk" and "beds" anywhere in the description

So, the first up is /bunk-beds/bunk-bed-solutions-wood-twin-twin

Where bunk is a term and beds is added by "as two separate Twin beds"

Try searching for "bunk bed" including the quotes in your search terms

To correct - you would need to remove from the descriptions the term "beds"
