Here is a quick post that I am about to upload a new version of Hebrew support for Zen Cart

Shalom again,

I will be uploading another revised version of Hebrew... this time, a version initally designed for UTF-8.
It is advisable to check with your hosting provider to assure that it supports Hebrew UTF-8 installations, as there have been difficulties in the past with Hebrew language packs . The version I intend to post will have resolved certain compatibility issues that I have experienced with hosted UNIX services.

As per the win-1255 version I have recently posted, I recommend it to be be applied as an alternative to the utf-8 version should you encounter the blank page issue during "add-to-cart" - the database character settings remain the same - Hebrew is stored as "gibberish" in the database but does not affect the user interface in any manner or any other process such as applying easy populate to upload and download your database...

hi,
I've installed the Hebrew pack. in the store the fonts are too big, why?
I want to translate also the admin pages, what should I do?
when I choose Hebrew in the panel I still have English in the site and no buttons.
help will be appreciated.

Apologies for not seeing your post beforehand... I hope that you were able to successfully reduce the font sixzes... It is usually a matter of defining them in CSS or the internal html editor... Anyhow, I would have to have a look at them...

Apologies for the late response... seems like a collation issue.. can you please check whether the configuration files are set to UTF-8?
Please check the database to verify that the tables are all set to UTF-8, if not, please use the downloadable plugin utility that when installed will automatically apply the changes if required...

Hebrew UTF-8 support for Zen Cart Version 1.5.6 ... I will soon be releasing a new version of Hebrew support for both storefront and admin.
**Storefront **- The current UTF-8 version of Hebrew support for storefront is compatible with 1.5.6, and I will be updating and upgrading it.
**Admin **- The current UTF-8 version of Hebrew support for Admin is currently incompatible with 1.5.6

Hebrew and bidirectional support can be seen with Zen Cart 1.5.6 @ https://new.optica-direct.com/

Hi, thank you for language pack. Have you got a good idea where to search for fixing this slideout rendering issue related only to he mobile side.


Slideout in RTL mode normally goes from right to left.

I've just found myself a pretty simple solution, just leaving dir value empty were it was "rtl". Will have to see how great will it look at the end of the day.

Damn i'm stupid... i saw that admin side is not compatible AFTER i have changed it.
any way to change the admin side back to english?

If you're familiar with your webhost's cPanel's phpMyAdmin, you can navigate to your database and, in the SQL tab, enter

UPDATE configuration SET configuration_value = 'en' WHERE configuration_key = 'DEFAULT_LANGUAGE';

Note that if your site uses a DB_PREFIX (like zen_), you'll need to modify that query to read

UPDATE **zen_**configuration SET configuration_value = 'en' WHERE configuration_key = 'DEFAULT_LANGUAGE';
