How To Have Breadcrumb Stay On Breadcrumb?

I added a new page to zen cart using the zen cart wiki, but when I navigate away from the new page the breadcrumb changes to that page.

ex.
Home : Product
instead of:
Home : Categories : Product

*FYI, the 'Categories' breadcrumb is a custom page not the zen cart one.

I would rather not right now, haven't you heard about this problem -----I followed the wiki to the 'T'.

Whether the problem has been heard about is irrelevant. We can only guess wildly without a link. If you are concerned about search engines, you can follow the suggestion in the posting tips.

Nah, it is a very simple question for those that know how zen cart is put together. Simply, the breadcrumb is overwritten by the established product categories. The wiki shows how the breadcrumb is added, but it isn't a permanent solution. It gets replaced when you navigate away.

*FYI, the 'Categories' breadcrumb is a custom page not the zen cart one. According to this, you have something non-standard about your setup... and you expect us to know what you have done and how it would affect the wiki method results, without seeing it?

What kind of page is this "Categories", and if it is not a Zen Cart category, why would it stay in the breadcrumb trail if you go to another page?

That's what I wanted to know.

The breadcrumbs is not a list of pages you visited before the current page; it is a list of the Zen Cart hierarchical structure pages that contain the current page. So top categories and higher subcategories will be shown for a subcat/product page, but custom pages are not in the hierarchy.
