looking for some guidance on customizing the product page

hello...

Im not quite sure where to start or which files would need modification- but i want to customize the product page to try to get it to look like this:

Any help would be appreciated... as well as a list of which files i should focus my attention on... Thanks!

The fundamental file controlling the product info page is /includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php (copy it from /template_default/).
There are several mods in Plugins giving alternate product info page layouts, so you might want to look at those for the best one(s) to start from in your customizing.

any idea how i can get the product image to align to the right of the information as seen in the pic posted here? im pretty sure you would have to modify this code in the stylesheet...

but i am not sure what code to use to change the alignment... ive also looked at the file you mentioned and also tpl_modules_main_product_image.php but everything i am trying is not working....

If that doesn't work immediately, look for other instances of #productMainImage and see if there is a float: left; as is standard for that element.
