Change Zones in Freeshipper

I am trying to make some of the items in my store as free ship to USA only. I would like to use regular zone rates for International shipping and Regular Zone rates for all other products.

When I activated Freeshipper I have two options in the "Shipping Zones" drop down list: 1 - none 2 - FL

How can I change "FL" in to US?

You need to setup the US as a zone

FREE SHIPPING! freeshipper does not work with Zones in the same manner as other shipping modules, if your Free Shipping is based on 0 weight and/or Always Free Shipping ...

What are you using to determine that a Product is Free Shipping to the US?

I made a mistake in my original question. I am trying to use Freeoptions (instead of freeshipper)

I am adding some very small sample products to my catalog. I want to offer free shipping to USA customers, but charge regular Zone rates for International customers.

I can't seem to find a way to change the "Shipping Zones" drop down options. Is that possible? The only option available is "Florida"

That's where you look at post #2 are read through the Zone FAQ to help you in build new Zones or Editing old Zones ...

Be careful if you are editing the Florida Zone that comes with Zen Cart ... that is designed as an example of how to set Tax and should either be removed/edited etc. to apply that correctly for what you need the Zone Definition to do ... in this case, manage Shipping ...

The closest thing that suits my request is: "To create a Zone for the US Continental 48 States & DC"

However, It seems easier to split an atom. I need this to apply to all 50 states. I don't understand where to put that code or how to modify it. Although I appreciate all of the "Be Careful" warnings that really erode my confidence to try something that could potentially corrupt the already working site.

You would paste the code in your Zen Cart Admin in the Tools ... Install SQL Patches ...

As that is for the US 48 plus DC, you can then go to the Zone Definitions and add in Alaska and Hawaii and change the title to something like US 50 states plus DC ...

OK, Unfortunately, all of that code is just numbers and an obscure reference to zones and regions. When you say just add "Just add Alaska and Hawaii"

That's seems like unusable advice because I don't see a reference to Delaware, or California, (or other states) just numbers.

If I type the word "Hawaii" into that list.. will that work? You have made it clear that you are smarter than I am concerning this code, but can you please break out the crayons and make this simpler.

What you want to do is:

1 install the 48 States plus DC in the Tools ... Install SQL Patches ...

2 Go to your Zen Cart Admin and go to Locations / Taxes ... Zones Definitions ... On the 48 Lower States click the DETAILS...

3 Add Alaska and Hawaii
Click INSERT
Country: United States
Zone: Alaska
click INSERT

Click INSERT
Country: United States
Zone: Hawaii

click INSERT

4 Go back to Locations / Taxes ... Zones Definitions ... and EDIT the 48 Lower States to something like:
US 50 States plus DC
