Doesn't Uninstalling Gift Certificate & Coupons remove the FAQ's ?

I was reading that uninstalling the gift certificate and coupon modules (admin/modulers/order total) would remove the two links (Gift Certificat FAQ and Discount Coupon) in the footer. I am using the Preston Elite template and am pretty sure that's why they are still showing. Can anyone point me to the file I need to modify ? Thx!
