UPS Saturday shipping option not available in plug-ins i have installed

Hi Everyone,
I have installed 2 UPS shipping plug-ins but neither one seems to have a Saturday option. My client is peeved and wants a NextDay (Saturday) (if the current day is Friday) to be available to customers. Can someone please advise?

i have installed the UPS_v15 and also one that shows up in the admin as upsxml. i think i may have gotten that one from a website other than this one,

any help or recommendations on this would be very much appreciated, thanks

As far as I know, most of the UPS modules do not include support for adding the Saturday Delivery option. Most likely you will have to modify the shipping module to add the appropriate "flag" in the request.

hey Ajeh, just now reading your reply. for some reason i no longer get email notificaitons.

i created a faux option. in PHP i set a timer function starting at 2pm thursday and ending friday evening. when on,
several things happen. i set a varialbe $sat = true,

one thing is some jQuery kicks and changes the copy from Next Day to Saturday Next Day.

i honestly forget everything i did, i added an extra $50 dollars, i guess it was ot_shipping

i also don't understand why i'm not seeing any UPS insurance options in these plugins but maybe i'm overlooking somehow. don't know

the Saturday Next Day faux option also shows up on the invoice, packing slip, email notification etc.

Go to your Zen Cart Admin ... then to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box enter:
Saturday

Now select Catalog and click SEARCH ...

Do you see configuration keys or language files or something with the word:
Saturday

this cart i've been working on, has many custom features and i want to be able to offer up as free ZC plug-ins.
i aspire to be a full on pro php programmer but am not there yet,...

some of the custom features are,

•suggested products (this rather than 'customers who bought also bought...')
•owner manuals (appear as download links on product page)
•product features list
•hazmat (which has all kinds of ramifications throughout including 'signing' a pyro-agreement
there are some more,
i realize some of these may already exist as plugins created but i wanted the experience of doing myself.

also, i probably did too much hacking of core files, so i'll need to re-think how to turn into plugins

It is always helpful to know this information so as we are developing new releases, we keep you in mind and the kind of changes you had to do to compare with what can we do to help you and others with these issues ...
