Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

My shopping cart is down. No orders since Tuesday at 11:39 AM. Tried to put an order through but the issue is that the "billing address does not match what the credit card says for the address". However, it is the same one as used every other time. Even tried another card with another correct billing address. Clients are calling and complaining that they can not get their orders placed and they have not moved, changed addresses, nor changed credit cards.

Thank you

You still have not provided enough information about your install

What ZenCart Version?
What php version?
What payment modules installed?
What addons installed?
and any other pertinent information about your install

Re: Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

Address verification is handled by your credit card company.
Contact your credit card gateway (looks like it's Authorize.net maybe?) and ask them to explain why it's rejecting the addresses ... specifically what is it seeing vs what you are sending, etc.

Looks like you could have some character set issues as well.
An upgrade?

Re: Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

We started seeing an increase in AVS address mismatches a few weeks ago.

After reviewing the log files and talking to Auth.net for quite a while....
Authorize.net only passes the code returned by the issuing bank and takes action upon that code.
The increase in AVS mismatches all contain AVS code Z being returned by the issuing banks which is street address No Match, zipcode Match.

The only remedy we have found is to relax the AVS rules so that code Z is processed but email notification to us so that we can manually look at things.

Re: Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

If the issuing bank is the one rejecting it, then there isn't much that can be done about it other than relax the settings, as you said.

For peace of mind, you could turn on debugging in your ZC admin's Authnet module settings, and look at the logs that are generated on the next transactions, to see whether the address being submitted is correct.
I can't imagine why it would submit anything other than what your customers are inputting, because the original code was written to pass the address as-is. So, unless something's changed on your server around 3 weeks ago when your problems suddenly started, then it sounds like it's something that got changed on the banking end.

Re: Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

I am going to check with Authorize.net first. GREAT suggestion. I know the site has only been down since Tuesday. It was working fine prior to that. These are old clients that order on a monthly basis with no change in information or card. Weird. Cindy

Re: Shopping Cart Down - Address issues

To the Zen Masters that replied to my thread. I bow to your greater wisdom. Your suggestion of Authorize.net was the charm. My cart was not shaking hands with Authorize.net. We are now up and running. I was able to put thru an order without any problems. I am now breathing again. Cindy.
