Easy Populate 4 vs. Easy Populate CSV - What's going on with so many Easy Populates?

I've used Zen for awhile now but not really pressed forward with it because it would be nice if my computer POS was able to be uploaded to my Zenstore daily. Easy Populate seems like the solution. But now I see there are so many!!

Easy Populate 4 - Doesn't show up in the plugin search

Easy Populate CSV does. But the "CSV" version seems to work off a similar Langer design.

What is the difference between the two? I'd like to pick the right one. Or can I have both?:shocking:

EP 4 is available at GITHUB. Find the EP4 support thread and chadderuski gives the URL to github for the module.

EP4 should be used with ZC1.5.x

Earlier versions of ZC, use EP 1.2.5.4

All the other versions are shaky

I was leaning towards EP4 because it looks like Chad seems to be supporting his work and is still very active.

The part that confuses me is EP-CSV is listed in the offical location and has a very high rating. Why is Chad's not in the offical plugin location? But he has a pinned place in the forum!

Chad's work is still in "beta" (but it works a treat), so he has not yet submitted it to the Add-ons.

I use it on about 100 sites now, and it is fine.
