Problem with wholesale acct and product attributes working together.

I wonder if anybody can point me in the right direction?

I building a site for client, who sells fresh and frozen produce to retail and wholesale clients. Retail clients (people at home) will likely buy a box or a KG of product whereas wholesale clients will order by the pallet.

My problem is: - I have added dual pricing and hidded wholesale modules to the site and added an attribute to a single product which is 1) a box at £22 RETAIL or 2) a Pallet of 40 Box's at £18 WHOLESALE = £720.

When I access the site and dont login, I am still able to select a pallet and yet when I add to my cart it shows a box @£22. But a package size of a Pallet (see image attached) In this case, I dont want the pallet option to display as I am not a customer who has been assigned wholesale pricing.

When I login as a customer who has been assigned wholesale pricing, and select a pallet and then go the cart I can see a pallet ordered at £742 which is £720 wholesale price + 1 box at £22 which is retail price! See Image:

Yet for the product concerned, in attributes, I have set + 0.0000 in price and £720 in trade price! See Image:

Thus, what I need to achieve is :

A) Dont show wholesale product to non wholesale assigned customers
B) Sort out pricing for wholesale customers so the correct TRADE price is shown.

I took a look at it a while ago, so I'm not sure, but I don't believe the Hidden Wholesale mod will create Hidden Attributes. You will have to have the box as one product and the pallet as another. Then it should work the way you want it to.

Thanks Stevesh, I will try what you suggest and see how that works and then post a reply here so for the moment I will leave this item open.

Ok I have tried what you suggested but that solved one problem and created another.

Step 1) I deleted all attributes for the product concerned (lets call it product A) and deleted the wholesale price the product thus leaving the product at £22 RETAIL

Step 2) I then created a new product 'Pallet of 40 x 4.52KG boxes of Product A' NO RETAIL PRICE and assigned a wholesale price of £720.

When I enter the site as an unregistered user and select the product catagory all appears OK.

When I enter the site and login as a 'wholesale' assigned customer I see the Pallet at £720 but I also see the retail item of the product priced at £22 as set at Step 1 above. This item should not display to wholesale customers UNLESS it is assigned a wholesale price!

Any Ideas would be greatly apprecaited.

Near as I can tell, that mod is only designed to hide wholesale products from retail customers, not the other way around. You or someone would have to modify the code. I'm not programmer enough to know how difficult that would be, but it seems to me that it might just be a matter of duplicating that part of the code and reversing the result.

Twitch Wholesale with Twitch Wholesale Attributes is the module you need.

You can filter out the pricing that the retail or wholesale customer sees.
