Customer reported problem about making an account

Hi there,

My store only features the unit kingdom available as a country as we only sell in the UK,

Today I had a customer ring up (who did live in the uk) and said that the website wouldn't let them sign up as it was saying for them to please select a country when they already had. Can anyone give me any ideas what the problem might be?

I tried to create an account ...

I used United Kingdom in the dropdown (note: you do have a blank in the dropdown list) and had no problems with it ...

NOTE: in the My Account when I edit my address it has an ADD COUPON button rather than an UPDATE button ...

I noticed the blank in the address book but there is only one country in the admin. I also checked the database table just incase and there is only united kingdom in there. Do you know why there would be a blank?

Check your settings in Configuration ... My Store ...

Country
The country my store is located in

and ensure you have set the United Kingdom there ...

It was set as United kingdom, I wonder if its something to do with the Fast and Easy Checkout plugin. Gonna have to look into that support thread
