Facebook thumbnail not relating to product image

Hi All,

I'm not having much luck with this problem. When we go to share a product from our website to facebook, the image that facebook pulls up to share isn't the image of the product.

I have seen a few articles on here but couldn't find a solution as such.

Has this been sorted yet? Anyone know of a fix ?

You did not give us an link to your site, a list of installed modifications / plugins, etc (see the "posting tips" notice above where you type to submit a post / reply)... Without detailed information, people on the forums can only to make "guesses".

My first "guess" is you have more than one image on the product page (anywhere on the page) and have not specified the image to associate with the URL via opengraph tags. You can use the Facebook Debugger to scrape your site and see a list of what FaceBook finds and any recommended changes.

You are right though lhungil we do have items with multiple images. I'm going to try that facebook debugger now

Before your website's database went offline I noticed a number of the opengraph tags for product pages were incomplete... Such as the site name tag and image tag...

For example:

<meta property="og:image" content="http://www. malamutematters. org/images/" />

This property should point directly to a single image (this is the image used when sharing the page).

Are you using a specific module to populate these? Or are they being populated by your theme / template?

As i am new to zen...i can only assume these are being populated by the template which is glasgow neat by Picaflor Azul as i am not generating them.

If you have not added any module / plugin to generate Facebook opengraph tags, this is a possibility. Do a search of the file contents of your site for "og:image" and it should show you where the Facebook opengraph tags are being added.

Do you think this will work, or has anyone else tried this?

I am having a similar issue. When i "like" something I can see the product
when someone else does all I see is a green check mark??
would love some help on this one
