Recommendations for a search plugin?
I'd like to install a 'search' plugin to give that function to my website. Can anyone recommend the best options available for zen cart?
thanks!

The 'Search" box is a standard feature of ZC - all versions. Activate from Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller

Thanks Frank.
However this only gives me the option of putting it on the left or right hand columns. I wanted to stick this under my slider, centered. https://www.sunnysihota.com/zen
How can I move this to the central location?
Also, do you know what 'single column status' does?
thanks.!

The core advanced search functions opens in the centre pane.
The Instant Search plugin may also be useful.

And the 'single column status' doesn't currently do anything except for the header search function.

you could create an EZ page header link to
http://www.yourstore.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search
or you could also use the blank sidebox mod too adjusting it to include the same link, perhaps with an image to hint it's a search tool.

There should be a link to "advanced search" under each search button in the two search sideboxes. If you cannot see the links, especially that in the header, they could be hidden by your css settings. To test for this, do a "View source" on a page with both search boxes activated, and then search for "advanced". If you cannot find it, then another setting may be the problem.
