Problems with Category on my home page

Simply question. On the home page of my website, under the category, when clicked it redirects to the home page instead of going to the subcategory. How can I resolve this issue?

https://www.netsofamerica.com, under categories on the left side only the baseball/softball & the hockey lacrosse are not clicking through to the subcategory. How can this be resolved?

Possibly something to do with your URL rewriter. Try turning that off temporarily.

I'm not a developer or internet guy so how would I do that in detail?

I don't know. It would depend on which URL rewriting mod has been installed. Look under Admin - Configuration first.

Still on my website, https://www.netsofamerica.com, I have a deadlink when you click the baseball & softball and the hockey & lacrosse link under categories. It constantly redirects to the home page. I need to change the settings to allow it to arrive to the subcategory. Any advice on making this work?

Both of those have a & in the name, which is probably getting your URL-Rewrite addon all confused.

Either change those to & instead of & or remove the & altogether.

Unfortunately, that is not it. The category links were working fine before Thursday with the & in the category links but I was playing around with it and I think I mistakingly put an address to redirect it to the home page. AS you can see on the website, https://www.netsofamerica.com, the yellow poly cap & safefoam link is working fine. I am just trying to reconnect it to the subcategories I have in my zen cart under category/products.

Well, I'm no fan of URL-rewriters because of this very sort of thing.
Turn it off until you can sort out whatever settings you changed to break it.
