paypal standard issue

My store works fine until I try to confirm order. It tries to go to paypal but never does and stays on the confirm order page. I am using version 5.1 and we also just added a coupon code for the first time. Also using paypal standard, never had an order issue until now. Any ideas as to the problem. Thanks scott.
