Incorrect International quotes after USPS 2013_0729_J5 install

Hello,

After the install of shipping mod USPS v15 Ratev4 2013_0127 R2013_0729_J5 International shipping is incorrect in both quotes and actual transactions. The price is always lower than it should be. No problems with domestic shipping. Any ideas? Thanks!

Could you turn on the USPS Debug logs and try a few quotes and then Zip the ones that are too low and post them?

On the missing
includes/languages/english/modules/order_total/ot_insurance.php

can you look on your server to see if that file is there or not?

Are you generating any myDEBUG logs when you get the WARNING error?

I in fact do not have the includes/languages/english/modules/order_total/ot_insurance.php file

Below is a debug of using Australia. I do not have the means to create a zip file. All International quotes are off by a couple dollars.

Can you get a screen shot from USPS.com of the quote that you are expecting to be correct and what settings you used in order to get it?

Also, a snapshot of what is in your settings in your Zen Cart Admin for Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... or at least the settings for the Maximum Weight and Two Tare rate settings ...

In Modules ... Shipping ... is your USPS shipping module configured for Retail or Online?

In Modules ... Shipping ... is your USPS shipping module configured for any Handling Fees?

Here's a bunch of screen shots...

I am using as an example. Shipping to Australia, 1 pound 3 ounces. An order I received on July 27th to Australia with this weight which totaled $19.25 (the quoted USPS amount + the .65 handling = Exact match) Now when the same item with the same weight to Australia gives a quote of $17.39 + .65 handling = $18.04 = incorrect.

I have changed no settings except for the new USPS mod.

Maximum Weight for USPS I believe is: 70
Tare Rates when not using them should be: 0:0

Let me fool a bit more and see what else I can gleen from your snapshots ...

Could you switch your USPS from ONLINE to RETAIL ... it is located at the bottom of the settings in your Zen Cart Admin when you hit EDIT on USPS ...

FWIW, I just realized that I am seeing similar discrepancies (International rates quoted within zencart lower than actual postage printed) but have not had time to compare all the variables.

RixStix ... see if you have the same issue of RETAIL vs ONLINE quotes from USPS ...

Keep in mind that there are a lot of built in features that will often relate to just being a setting in either Shipping/Packaging ... or in the Modules ... Shipping ... on the specific shipping module, such as USPS ... all you have to do is match them all up ... :lookaroun

Something seems to have changed in the past hour or so.

I was using Online because of Domestic Regional FlatRate shipments. I switched to Retail, get ZC quote to AU. Switched to Online, get ZC quote. Subtract the handling fee and now both quotes match the USPS click N ship quotes for retail and online. Also, entered address info into my shipping label software and rate matches the online rate.

That was not the case an hour ago. :blink:

I so hate USPS ...

Maybe it was the coffee or lack thereof ... :blink:
