Payment dependent on shipping selected?

So I run a small collectible card shop where customers can order their cards from home and pick up in the store is there a way if the players select pick up in store that it processes the order but doesn't take them to the payment screen since they will be paying in store?

Did something similar for a client on a wholesale site some years ago.

Installed shipping method "Store Pickup" as the only shipping method and as a payment method I installed and activated the payment mod "Direct Bank Deposit" (available in the Plugins section). Then modified the wording in the language file of "Direct Bank Deposit" to say something like "in accordance with our terms and conditions". You could change that to "I am paying cash in store when picking up" (or something.....) - the customer doesn't have to do anything else but to confirm the order.

The issue with that is that I am still selling online, it just has an option to pay when you pick up. but cannot skip payment unless you are picking up in store. So if the customer picks any other option besides store pickup it goes to payment processor like normal. Is that possible?

On the checkout payment and checkout confirmation pages you would need to test if store pickup has been selected as shipping method. If true then you would need to skip the coding for payment option or else show the available payment options.

Re: Payment dependent on shipping selected?

Can you link me to a guide on how to check for that? Or give me a rough idea how to? I am diving into this kinda head first and my php is a little limited to put it nicely.

I got the cart to accept pick up in store but as for checking which option was chosen I am a little lost.
