Need Reccomendation for Pricing Tiers

Hi All!

I'm working on porting a custom site to ZC. I would appreciate some advice on how to implement a few rules (if it's even possible). This is a new cart and will of course be 1.5.1

  1. Pricing and ordering for approved customers only
  • OK, can do with basic ZC ("log in to see prices" etc)
  1. 2 types of orders: base priced and marked up.
  • Could prob use Dual pricing mod

2a. Need to charge taxes for some accounts.

  • dual pricing turns off taxes for all wholesale accounts according to the docs. I need to pick and choose
  1. Twp minimum order reqs: base price has $100 minimum order and marked up has no minimum.
  • no idea

So, there are 2 ways to order: 1 way with basic prices but an order min, and another way with marked up prices and no minimum.

  1. Each order type has its own shipping table
  • no idea
  1. Packing slips with alternate return addresses or notes? This is for a dropship-type supplier.
  • no idea

As you can see, this is a pretty specialized cart. I'd like to go Zen with it but I don't even know if these things are possible for an expert to code. And if so, maybe someone like ThatSoftwareGuy or Numinix? I'd basically like to know if people think this is even feasible.

Thanks!

Whoops - there's a typo in your last sentence where you said "or Numinix."

Quantity discounts should handle most of these requirements and you can set up different tax rates and zones. For shipping, the best way to achieve this is spend a little bit of cash and get the Advanced Shipper module. It is incredibly flexible and you can set up rates for a wide variety of scenarios using either products, categories, manufacturers, in defined countries, using weight, quantity or price as rules for different scenarios. You can also use the drop ship purchase order module for your drop shipping needs.

Zen Cart and it's community are the best!!

So there is! That's what I love about the ZC community, so many helpers.

And thanks for saying Hi Scott! Everything you've done for us has been rock solid, so of COURSE we'll be in touch about this one.

Cheers!

Thank you very much for the run down! I'll start with those and see how close I get. I thought the dropship PO wasn't updated for 1.5.1 but I'll look again
