move my store to another host

I'm moving my Zen Cart to another host.

I did a fresh instal of 1.39h on a different server, because my store is 1.39h.

I followed the instructions from the FAQ
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?142-i-want-to-move-my-zen-cart-installation-to-another-host-or-a-different-server

Everything worked perfectly until the end.
I think there is a database issue.
This is the message I'm receiving at my new site.

1146 Table 'dbstests_zencart.dbs_configuration' doesn't exist
in:
[select configuration_key as cfgkey, configuration_value as cfgvalue from dbs_configuration]

Any ideas?

Re: move my store to another host

Your post suggests that your new server is using 'dbs_' as the DB_PREFIX setting in your configure.php files.
But what was your old server using?

Re: move my store to another host

My old server settings I was using dbs_
and new server dbstests_

Could I change that in both the configure.php files?

My old server settings I was using dbs_

Your old store was set to use dbs_ so that means all your database tablenames start with dbs_
And you imported that data into your new database.
So you need to tell your new site to use dbs_ to read the data, by setting DB_PREFIX to dbs_ in your new configure.php files.

This is all mentioned in the FAQ article you quoted.

Re: move my store to another host

Actually my old store did use the database table names that starts with dbs_ prefix.
But the old configure files showed no prefix.
So on the new store I added the prefix per the instructions. Which it did not work.
So now I removed them from the configure files and it works perfectly.
Thanks for the help.

Re: move my store to another host

I am also moving to a new host. I have uploaded all my files from the old server but now I'm told I have to do a re-install and that it will delete all my files. Help! Is there a way around this?
