Category Quantity in Admin vanished!!

Normally in my admin i will see something like 15 of 19 active in the quantities colume in the admin side of my store.... but i noticed today that this had gone!

column is there but is empty!

anyone have any ideas??

I don't know when it disappeared but i have removed the last plugin i install (basic plugin which should have effected anything) and still no joy.

anyone seen this before??

I could retore the file to see if that helps if anyone knows what file could be effected?? or is there a setting to turn this off from displaying that one of the team has press by mistake

I have tried updating the admin directory and installing a new copy from fresh download and no joy...

anyone have any ideas??

legend.... looked everywhere for that and couldn't see it!! Cant see the forest for the leaves!
