Responsive DIY Template Default for v1.5.x
rbarbour:
Which version of the DIY are you using?
The **version via the download section **includes an admin layout_controller.php file which adds an extra status to the page "Show this Box @ Min-Width" which allows you to hide specific side-boxes on both tablet and mobile devices.
The version via the the GIT link in my signature includes an admin layout_controller.php file which adds 3 extra statuses:
Desktop Status - Uses CSS to Hide Box @ 768px
Tablet Status - Uses PHP to never even load Box on Tablet Devices
Mobile Status - Uses PHP to never even load Box on Mobile Devicesto the page which allows you to hide specific side-boxes for specific devices. Even allows you to display on mobile devices but hide on tablet and desktop.
Without a mobile/tablet navigation menu in place you will want your categories to display, so add a anchor in the categories side-box, when clicked it will scroll to the say "breadcrumbs" right above page contents so the additional scrolling is bypassed.
Using the 2.1b on 1.5.1, indeed I need to keep my Categories menu (in this case the left side-box), I thought showing it only on the main page would do it, that's why i asked...
I want to give it a try and do what you said but I'm not sure I understand, "add an anchor" ?
