Any Shipping Modules out there that support 'Dimensional Weight'??

Does anyone here know if there are any shipping modules that can calculate 'Dimensional Weight'?

Dimensional Weight is a term used to describe or calculate a large package that isn't necessarily heavy but costs more to ship because of it's large size. So far I have not found any modules that support this!, uggg

Currently my client has a package that is approx. 52 x 24 x 24 When going from say KY to California the UPS modules I have installed give a price of $109. But my client says when he takes it to UPS to get shipped, UPS will charge him double that amount because of it's size or 'Dimensional Weight'.

this is really a problem and surprised I'm not finding more on this topic here.

Advanced Shipper has a function to be able to get custom rates per product from a user-defined column in the product table.
Since you would need to calculate and store the product's packaged volume somewhere anyway maybe this would be the best starting point, but you would still need to customise the code.

I got hit with the same problem when trying to use all the main international couriers...which resulted in it being impossible to calculate/estimate shipping costs without a lot of coding work, so I stuck to using our local post office service.

there is a plugin by Numinix called 'Shipping Boxes Manager' which is suppose to do just what i described.
I've installed no problem, i see the admin page, db table etc. and i've even create some boxes.
but it doesn't seem to interact at all w/ the UPS plugin that it references, or claims to work with
which is UPS_v15. There not much readme or description of how to connect it, ... or whatever.

i expect to hear back from Numinix. my past experience w/ them has been good.

there's also an older plug called UPSXML but it works ZenCart 1.3. something. and i see in the code
where gets the dimensional data to send but i'm struggling to get it to work w/ ZenCart 1.5.1. it may be possible though..
